Destination Hunts
Mobile App Guide

Settings

The Settings screen — team members and identity, event details, help, facilitator tools, and leaving a hunt.

Settings is reached from the gear icon in any screen's header. The screen is titled "Settings" — "Manage your preferences" — with a profile card at the top showing the team icon or photo, the player's display name, and the team name.

Team Members

The "Team Members" item (subtitle "{n} members") opens the team identity page:

  • Team photoany member can set or replace the team photo. It saves automatically and replaces the team icon across the leaderboard and Home.
  • Captain-only edits — the team captain (the first member who joined) can additionally edit:
    • Team name — but only before the event starts; afterwards the field is locked with "Name cannot be changed after the event starts".
    • Team icon — chosen from a searchable icon grid.
    • Team color.
  • The member list marks the current player with a "You" badge and the captain with a "Captain" badge.

Display names are set at join

There is no way to change your personal display name after joining — the only editable identity is the team's (photo/icon/color, and name pre-start). To fix a typo'd name, leave the hunt and rejoin from the same device with the same team code and the corrected name.

Event Details

Shows the event's schedule, description, cover image and logo, a status pill (Active / Upcoming / Completed), and — when the organizer added one — a "Watch Introduction Video" button.

Help & Support

"Help & Support" ("Chat with a facilitator") opens the Get Help channel. This item is hidden when the organizer has disabled the help channel.

Facilitator Tools

Visible only to members of staff teams (teams the organizer flagged as facilitators). It opens a staff console for applying artifact effects and power-ups to teams — by category, with duration presets, targeting all teams or a selection. Regular players never see this item, and the server independently verifies staff status.

Leave Hunt

The destructive "Leave Hunt" action shows a confirmation:

"Leave Hunt" — "Are you sure you want to leave this hunt? Your progress will be saved, but you'll need to rejoin with your team code." — Cancel / Leave

Leaving clears the session from this device only and returns to the join screen. All progress — points, completions, chat — lives on the server, so rejoining with the same team code from the same device restores everything.

The screen footer shows the app version ("DestinationHunts v{version}").
