Home Tab
The player dashboard — team badge, progress and points stats, quick actions, nearby challenges, and the recent activity feed.
The Home tab is the team's dashboard during the hunt. It's the first thing players see after joining (right after the welcome challenge, if the event has one).
Header
The header shows the event's logo (or a default icon), the event name, and a personal greeting — "Welcome back, {name}" (falling back to "Explorer" if no name is available). Multi-day events also show a "Day X of N" pill. The gear icon in the header opens Settings.
Team badge
Below the header, a team badge shows the team's icon or photo and team name — the same identity that appears on the leaderboard.
Stats card
Three at-a-glance stats:
- Progress — a progress bar reading
{completed}/{total} challenges. - Points — the team's total, labeled with the event's branded points label if the organizer set one (e.g. "Doubloons" instead of "Points"). When the team has photo/video submissions awaiting facilitator review, an amber "+
{n}pending review" line shows the points on hold. - Time Left — a live countdown to the event's end. Hidden for open-ended hunts with no end time.
Quick Actions
A grid of shortcuts, each with a live badge:
| Action | Badge | When it's hidden |
|---|---|---|
| "Hunt Map" | "{n} ready" (available challenges) | Hidden in quiz mode (indoor events with no map) |
| "Leaderboard" | The team's current rank | — |
| "Team Chat" | Unread message count | Hidden if the organizer disabled team chat |
| "Get Help" | — | Hidden if the organizer disabled the help channel |
Active Artifacts
When any artifact effects are currently running on the team (cast by the team or against it), an "Active Artifacts" section appears with effect cards showing what's active and a live countdown. See Inventory for what each effect does.
Nearby Challenges
Up to three available challenges, sorted by GPS distance from the player, so teams always know what's closest. When nothing is available yet, the empty state reads "No Challenges Available" — "New challenges will appear here when they're unlocked."
Recent Activity
A feed of the team's recent events — completions, points, and other activity — so late-joining teammates can catch up on what the team has done.
Pull down anywhere on the Home tab to refresh everything: team, stats, challenges, activity, unread counts, and active effects.
Welcome challenge auto-open
If the event has a welcome challenge, the first time the app opens on a device for a team it skips straight to that challenge before showing Home. The welcome challenge is forced: there is no back button (and the Android hardware back button is disabled), it awards no points, and completing it routes the player forward to the Home tab. It only happens once per device/team.
